The very finest ingredients
We specialise in traditional and contemporary, gluten-free and vegan-friendly beers and ciders. Knowing the provenance of our ingredients is key; many of our hops are home grown in fields not far from us in Herefordshire, as well as the hop farms of Kent and we also source varieties from northern Europe and as far afield as New Zealand and America. Our malt comes from well-established malting companies in the UK, including Muntons, one of the UK’s leading maltsters. The apples in our ciders come from traditional wild orchards in Somerset, Herefordshire and the Welsh Borders.
A dedicated team
But ingredients and top-notch facilities don’t make great beer and ciders all by themselves. Our dedicated brewery team plays a huge role in making Evan Evans exceptional. We employ 20 people in the brewery and in our state-of-the-art bottling facility. An incredible 1.5 million bottles pass through our contract bottling business each year headed for the UK and export markets. What’s more, we have a policy of trying to recruit locally, running an apprenticeship scheme for brewers, bottling technicians and salespeople. And with local people comes an unbeatable passion for Welsh beer and cider!
